Ophthalmology department

The activity of the ophthalmology department is basically focused on the treatment of glaucoma, in some cases associated with cataract.

Positioned at the leading edge of laser and surgical techniques, the service has recently acquired High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) dedicated to refractory glaucoma treatment.
An operative unit, dedicated solely to ophthalmology, is equipped with an Infinity phacoemulsifier adapted to modern cataract surgery.

Its expertise in glaucoma surgery has brought the service national recognition, with national magazines giving it top rating since 2005.

The ophthalmology department, headed by Dr. Yves Lachkar, is composed of 11 doctors including 7 surgeons and orthoptists from a hospitalization unit for classic or ambulatory surgery and from a functional ophthalmological exploration and consultation center.
